BLOOMWAVE
Build color. The wave breaks it.
Still in development. Store links will appear here at launch.
What it is
- You build. The wave breaks. Breaking is the wave's job. All you do is set up 2×2 squares of one color and wait.
- The music stacks up Play well and instruments join one at a time. A board that started with just a beat picks up percussion, then bass, and finally the whole band.
- It gives you time to think The wave only comes every few beats. In between, read the board and decide where to build.
- No account needed Open it and play. Records stay on your device, and scores go to the leaderboard only if you want them to.
How to play
-
Drag a piece from the tray Pieces don't rotate. You only choose where to put them — and any empty spot works, even mid-air.
-
Make a 2×2 of one color Four matching cells in a square charge up. Overlapping charged squares merge into one larger cluster.
-
The wave breaks them Every few beats a wave spreads out from the center of the board and detonates charged clusters in the order it reaches them. Blocks fall only during a wave.
-
Bigger is much better One large cluster beats several small ones by a wide margin. And if the blocks that fall afterwards form another 2×2, it chains.
The ladder the music climbs
Play well and the meter fills; fill the meter and another instrument joins. Play badly and it drops back — but only when a wave passes with nothing to break, never for standing still. The visuals climb the same ladder.
- BEATJust the beat. This is where you start.
- PERCPercussion joins.
- BASSBass comes in, and the board pulses once per beat.
- MELODYMelody. A sweep of light crosses the board each bar.
- HARMHarmony. An aurora drifts behind the board.
- FULL BANDFrom here the same instruments thicken. The whole board swells on the beat.
Tracks and the Daily Challenge
Every track has its own BPM and genre, and the wave arrives at a different interval. You start with two and unlock the rest by playing. Locked tracks can be previewed right from the list — a locked track plays up to melody, an unlocked one adds harmony for the full arrangement.
The Daily Challenge builds its piece order from the date, so everyone gets the same pieces that day. Play as many times as you like — your best score for the day is what sticks. Sign in to Game Center or Play Games to put Daily Challenge and RUSH Weekly scores on the leaderboards; the game plays exactly the same if you don't.
RUSH 120s is the short, pushy mode on the track you picked — the clock starts when you place your first piece. Block skins unlock from cumulative cells cleared; swipe left or right on the blocks on the title screen to change them.
Made to be comfortable
- Reduce Flashing Lowers the intensity of the beat flash and lengthens its falloff. You're offered this on first launch, and it's in Settings any time.
- Not color alone The two colors never change with the track, and one of them carries a center marker. High Contrast makes it clearer.
- Light Mode Trims the glow effects to hold the frame rate on older devices.
- English and Korean Follows your device language, or pick one yourself in Settings.
