What it is

• A piece always fits The pieces are worked backwards from the gaps already on the board, so whatever you are dealt fits somewhere. In Time Attack and the Daily Challenge you never lose for want of a place to put it.
• A board that lights up to the music A wave of light sweeps the board on the kick of the track — once a bar, turning as it goes.
• Two sets of rules The main game bursts whole 3×3 boxes; BLOCROSS clears lines on a single 8×8 board.
• No account needed Open it and play. Records stay on your device, and scores go to a leaderboard only if you want them to.

Four modes

• Time Attack
  Starts at two minutes, and every box you burst buys more. The clock stays still until you place your first piece.
• Free Play
  No clock. The pieces get harder the deeper you go, and the run ends when nothing fits any more — you are measured by your own moves, not the timer.
• Daily Challenge
  A new board at midnight UTC, the same one for everyone in the world. Your best score of the day is what stays.
• BLOCROSS
  Place pieces on one 8×8 board and fill rows or columns to clear them. Here the pieces come at random, so sooner or later you get stuck.

How to play

1. Pick a piece from the tray Drag up one of the three pieces waiting at the bottom.
2. Drop it into the gaps Hold it over a spot that completes a box and it glows to tell you.
3. The box bursts Fill all twenty-five cells and the whole box goes, with the boxes above dropping down.

Skin packs

A skin pack is a look and its music together. It is not just a change of colour — the material of the blocks and the way they burst change too. Timber tiles do not glow, and in the meadow pack the animals cry out in their own voices.

The default skin and track are free, and every mode in the game is open from the start without buying anything. You can try a skin pack for 30 minutes by watching an ad.
